Welcome to Impression Workshops! These workshops will be instructed by art education students from the University of Lapland, and they are open for everyone. The topics and themes of the workshops are inspired by the current exhibition, Impressions. In these workshops you get to create your own unique artwork inspired by the pieces displayed in the exhibition.

7.10. and 14.10.
The Range of Emotions

Depicting human emotions with different drawing techniques and building a collage from the creations.

21.10. and 4.11.
Light into the Darkness

Making lanterns from glass jars and metal cans, also utilizing seasonal materials.

11.11. and 18.11.
Tracing our mark

In this workshop you get to create your own unique stamp to leave your mark in the world.

25.11. and 2.12.
Everyday Mythology

In this workshop we ponder, with the help of the exhibition’s artworks, what we leave behind. Then we create and build small sculptures from recycled everyday materials.

In these workshops you get to try easy art techniques. These open workshops are held during ArtThursdays from 4pm to 6 pm. Children under 10 can attend with an adult. No need to sign up in advance, entry and materials are free.
