In this exhibition love and contemporary art are joined together. The artists lead us to various themes of love and offer new viewpoints to love. The art works stir the viewer up to consider what love can be and create possibilities to one’s own interpretations.

Love doesn’t look to age, place or time. It includes issues of one’s own identity, sexuality and self expression which are always current topics for young adults. Love is a part of everyday life and it belongs to everyone.

Love can be seen in sculptures, photos and graphics. Love appears also symbolically in the materials of the art works: in the naturalness and concreteness of wood, in the transparency and fragility of glass and in the gravity of stone and iron.
Uncovered is an exhibition by the art education students in the University of Lapland. All art works come from the Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation collection. The students also plan and actualize workshops for young adults.
