Lapland Chamber Orchestra is the northernmost professional chamber orchestra in the European
Union. The orchestra has 18 full time musicians and excellent facilities - the musicians each have
their own practise room.

We currently have a vacancy for:

Principal bassoon with contrabassoon obligation

Post commencing 18 October 2021.
Salary is in accordance with the collective agreement on wages and terms of employment.

Audition requirements:

1. W. A. Mozart: Bassoon Concerto B-flat major KV 191, 1st movement with cadenza
2. C. Saint-Saëns: Sonata for Bassoon G major op. 168, 1st movement
3. Unaccompanied piece of the applicant’s own choice for solo bassoon composed
after 1899 with duration max 5 minutes. Can be a movement or movements from a
larger work.
4. Orchestral and chamber music excerpts, available after the application deadline
