The Lapland Chamber Orchestra is the northernmost professional orchestra in the European Union with 18 full time musicians.The orchestra has a new concert hall and and musicians each have their own rehearsal facilities (www.korundi.fi )
We currently have vacancies for:
- Concertmaster
The chosen applicant will have the opportunity to use a valuable, high class instrument
- Sub Principal cello

Salary in accordance with the agreement on wages and terms of employment
Audition requirements:
1. W.A Mozart: Violin Concerto no.4 D Major or No.5 A Major
1st and 2nd movements including cadenzas
Free piece for solo violin, not to exceed 10 mins.
Chamber music excerpts sent to applicants after the closing date for applications
2. J Haydn : Cello Concerto in D Major 1st movement with cadenza
Free piece for solo cello, not to exceed 10 mins.
Chamber music excerpts sent to applicants after the closing date for applications.
Audition date: Saturday 31. 3. 2012 at 12:00 for Concertmaster and 16:00 cello sub principal Korundi, Lapinkävijäntie 4, Rovaniemi.

Applicants should include personal and contact details, education and work experience, and could inform if the orchestra’s accompanist is required. Should a present member of the orchestra be appointed to the post their succesors can be appointed at the same auditions.
The chosen applicant must present a medical certificate before commencing work with the orchestra.
