Lines create landscapes and depict emotions, living and forming by the hand of an artist. Lines are also prominent in everyday life, all around us. In his artworks Norwegian artist Patrick Huse (b. 1948) gently focuses on landscapes, their reliefs and reflections, offering an escape to a romantic landscape.

Huse uses several layers of paint to create natural abstract formations, painting or drawing lines, structures, formations and textures similar to those one can see in northern wastelands. His artworks have beauty and light in them combined with something hidden and silent. He shares this unseen element with us in his art.

By dismantling, deconstructing and reworking the meditations on old and new rock structures, Huse brings the unknown landscapes of the North right in front of our eyes and mind. These are the reflections from “the end of the world” at the end of an era.
